Sandeep Kumar Sahoo is a highly skilled Java Full Stack developer with over 7 years of experience in developing scalable and highly available backend and front end systems. He has worked in various industries, including finance, cloud services, and energy sectors. Currently, he is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Oracle, where he is responsible for developing a centralized and scalable platform for controlling various types of database as a service infrastructure. This platform is used by the system engineering team for all kinds of control operations like incident management, monitoring, and maintenance activities. Prior to Oracle, Sandeep worked as an Assistant Manager at Citi, where he was part of the operational risk technology team responsible for building a risk analytics platform that was leveraged to perform capital modeling on top of external and internal loss data. He was involved in all parts of the development cycle, from requirements gathering to implementing and maintaining the solution. He also worked as a full-stack developer, responsible for building both front-end and back-end systems. Before joining Citi, Sandeep worked as a System Engineer at IBM, where he was responsible for building an integration layer for customer care and billing systems. This layer exposed the internal billing system to the outside world via web services and was also capable of consuming services from the outside world. His responsibilities included starting from requirement gathering to building the solution, improving and optimizing existing services to improve performance and scalability, and providing solutions and fixes to ongoing production issues. Sandeep holds a dual degree in B.Tech and M.Tech in Electronic and Signal Processing from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
